Samsung's tri-fold smartphone gets Bluetooth certified, revealing wide global launch plans
"Samsung's upcoming tri-fold smartphone was showcased in late October, but it's still not properly official. We might not have very long to wait, however, as it's now apparently been spotted in the Bluetooth SIG's certification database. Interestingly, multiple model numbers were certified - SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. The fact that we have all these model numbers implies rather wide geographical availability, including in North America, China, and Korea."
"The model ending in "B" is generally Samsung's global version of a device, but of course that doesn't really tell us exactly how many countries it will launch in, and which countries specifically. But it does give us the idea that the tri-fold smartphone either won't be limited to only a few markets at first, or that will change very quickly upon its release. Previous rumors talked about it only arriving in the US next year, and that may still happen - after all, we're less than two months away from 2026 now, and the phone still hasn't been announced."
Samsung's upcoming tri-fold smartphone was showcased in late October but remains unannounced. The device appeared in the Bluetooth SIG certification database under multiple model numbers: SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. The variety of model numbers implies broad geographical availability, likely covering North America, China, and Korea. The model ending in "B" typically designates a global variant, suggesting the phone may not be confined to a handful of initial markets. Previous rumors indicate a U.S. arrival next year, and the certification presence points toward an imminent official announcement.
