Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge renders confirm odd design, reveal camera island thickness
"CAD-based renders have now hit the web, created by OnLeaks. They confirm the overall design and give precise dimensions: 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5mm. This is 0.3mm thinner than the current S25 Edge, though it doesn't account for the camera island. Said camera island brings the total thickness up to 10.8mm. That's... a lot. Especially considering that it spans almost the full width of the phone. Why did Samsung go with such an oddball design? We hope to find out through future leaks."
"Anyway, back to this leak - it confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will have built-in magnets for full Qi2 support. Of course, the camera island may make things difficult when it comes to designing magnetic snap-on accessories - check out the dummy leak from yesterday for a look at where the circle of magnets is in relation to the camera island. The display will have a 6.7" diagonal like before, further details about the panel are to be confirmed."
CAD-based renders from OnLeaks show Galaxy S26 Edge dimensions of 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5mm, 0.3mm thinner than the S25 Edge excluding the camera island. The camera island raises overall thickness to 10.8mm and spans almost the full phone width, potentially affecting ergonomics and accessory design. The phone includes built-in magnets for full Qi2 support, which may complicate magnetic snap-on accessories near the camera area. The display remains a 6.7" diagonal with similar bezels expected. Reported battery capacity increases from 3,900mAh to 4,200mAh. A US unit ran Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2; other regions may use Exynos 2600. A 50MP ultra-wide is possible without adding a third camera.
