Samsung has shipped Android May security patches to the Galaxy A55 and is now delivering the same update to the Galaxy A54. The changelog includes fixes for two critical vulnerabilities: an elevation of privilege issue in the Android kernel and a remote code execution problem tied to Android’s wireless ADB debugging interface. The update also resolves 28 high-severity issues and 6 moderate-level issues. The Galaxy A54 update uses build number A546EXXSJEZE5 and is about 286.79MB. The staged rollout has reached parts of Asia and the Middle East, with India and Saudi Arabia among the first countries to receive it.

Meanwhile, this author's personal Galaxy S26 Ultra is still running patches from April 5 as of writing this article. We snooped around in the changelog for the update just out of curiosity. Perhaps something in there would simply be more relevant in some way to the midrange Galaxy A5x family? That doesn't appear to be the case."
