Samsung announced a One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 series based on Android 17. The beta is available in select markets including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S starting this week. Users can apply through the Samsung Members app. Samsung Contacts gains access to the Creative Studio AI art tool for creating custom profile cards inside the app. The Quick Panel adds improved controls with independent toggles for screen brightness, sound, and the media player. Accessibility updates include a combined TalkBack voice guidance package, Text Spotlight support in floating windows, and adjustable Mouse Key speed. Samsung Notes adds new pen line styles and decorative tapes. Samsung also flags suspicious app activity, blocking execution and installation of risky files and recommending security measures.
