Mate X7 brings IP59 rating, larger battery and Kirin 9030 Pro chipset

"In terms of cameras, you get the same 50MP main camera from last year with an RYYB sensor, 10-stop physical variable aperture (f/1.4-4.0), and OIS. The telephoto sensor is now updated to a 50MP sensor with a wider f/2.2 aperture and 3.5x optical zoom. The third shooter on the back is a 40MP ultrawide. You also get two 8MP selfie cameras - one on the cover screen and one on the inner screen."

"Mate X7 is equipped with Huawei's top-of-the-line Kirin 9030 Pro chipset, just like the freshly announced Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro Max. While we don't have its detailed specs just yet, the new SoC reportedly features a nine-core ARMv8 architecture with a prime core clocked at 2.75GHz, 4x performance cores @ 2.27GHz and 4x efficiency cores @ 1.72GHz. That's paired with 12/16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage."

The Huawei Mate X7 is a thinner, lighter foldable measuring 9.5mm folded and 4.5mm unfolded, weighing 235 grams with an aluminum frame. The device carries IP58 and IP59 ingress protection for dust and resistance to splashes and close-range high-pressure water jets. It offers a 6.49-inch cover LTPO OLED (20.4:9) and an 8-inch main LTPO OLED (8:7.3), both supporting 1–120Hz variable refresh rates and 1,440Hz PWM dimming. Camera hardware includes a 50MP RYYB main with a 10-stop variable aperture and OIS, a 50MP telephoto with f/2.2 and 3.5x optical zoom, a 40MP ultrawide, and two 8MP selfies. The phone uses the Kirin 9030 Pro SoC paired with 12/16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage, and houses a 5,600mAh dual-cell Si-C battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, running HarmonyOS 6.
