Lenovo unveils rugged ThinkTab X11 with battery-less mode, Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 with SD 8s Gen 4
"The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is the company's first rugged Android tablet. It is IP68-certified and MIL-STD-810H tested. Importantly, it supports Batteryless Mode, so it can stay all day on a dock or be used as a kiosk. When running on battery, the X11 has 10,200mAh in its tank."
"The tablet has a 10.95" display and a stylus that sheathes into the top side. The display is a 2,560 x 1,600px panel with 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness. The ThinkTab X11 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage."
"The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is also a workhorse, but again one that is better-suited for office and classroom environments. It has a 13" LCD with 16:10 aspect ratio (3,540 x 2,190px). The panel runs at 144Hz and offers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Normally, it outputs 600 nits of brightness but can reach 800 nits in high brightness mode."
"The display is surrounded by four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage with a microSD slot for more."
Lenovo introduced two distinct tablets targeting different use cases. The ThinkTab X11 is a rugged Android tablet featuring IP68 certification and MIL-STD-810H testing, designed for field work. It includes Batteryless Mode for dock operation, 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, dual USB-C ports, and NFC support. The 10.95-inch display offers 2,560 x 1,600px resolution at 90Hz with 600 nits brightness. Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, it launches in April at €500. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 targets office and classroom use with a 13-inch 144Hz LCD display at 3,540 x 2,190px, four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
