iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max prototypes are reportedly undergoing testing with quad-curved screens. The rumor links quad-curved panels to Apple’s future Pro series plans, with expectations that Android flagships may see more quad-curved displays in late 2027 and 2028. Quad-curved screens were previously popular among Chinese Android makers, but many shifted toward flat designs after copying Apple. Apple is also approaching the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, announced in January 2007 and released in June 2007. Because of the milestone, Apple may change the naming of the 2027 Pro models, though no decision has been leaked yet.
"Apple's iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max prototypes are currently undergoing testing with quad-curved screens, according to a new rumor from the prolific Chinese leaker who goes by Digital Chat Station on Weibo."
"We have heard back in April that Apple's 2027 Pro series would employ such panels, which is a bit ironic seeing as how quad-curved screens used to be all the rage with Chinese Android smartphone makers, until they all decided to copy Apple and go the flat route. So get ready for a new influx of quad-curved panels in Android flagships in late 2027 and 2028."
"In 2027 Apple will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone, which was announced in January 2007 and went on sale in June the same year. Because of this, the company may change up the naming, so the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max could be called something else, but nothing seems to have been decided just yet (or at least the decision hasn't been leaked yet)."
