Huawei will unveil the nova 16 series in China on June 1 and will also launch the MatePad Pro Max. The nova 16 Pro and nova 16 Ultra feature triple rear cameras, with sensors and an LED flash placed inside two large circular discs on top of a rectangular camera island. The standard nova 16 uses a dual rear camera system with a similar design. The nova 16z has a pill-shaped rear camera module with dual cameras and dual LED flashes. The front camera cutouts differ by model, with pill-shaped cutouts on Pro and Ultra and hole-punch cutouts on the standard model and nova 16z.
