Here are some of the first Android XR apps and games, developed in Unity 6
"Google Maps XR introduces the Immersive View, which allows users to explore locations in detailed 3D environments. NFL Pro Era (developed by StatusPRO) is the first licensed NFL virtual reality simulation game. It's available on Android XR, but you can also play it on a Meta Quest, PlayStation VR and on Windows. Inside [JOB] (developed by Owlchemy Labs) is a mixed-reality experience that introduces users to Android XR interactions."
"Samsung's headset - known as "Project Moohan" for now but likely to be announced as the "Samsung Galaxy XR" - is the first Android XR device. The platform natively supports a variety of form factors and so does Unity 6. "Unity's support of Android XR made it really easy for us to get started. We were able to bring some of our biggest games to Android XR in about a week, which helped us reach more players without a ton of extra work. That time savings also let us build something completely new with Inside [JOB]," said Andrew Eiche, CEO of Owlchemy Labs."
Samsung will unveil an XR headset that will be the first device to run Android XR, currently known as Project Moohan and likely to be named Samsung Galaxy XR. The platform supports multiple form factors and benefits from native Android XR compatibility in Unity 6. Day-one apps include Google Maps XR with an Immersive View, NFL Pro Era by StatusPRO, and Inside [JOB] by Owlchemy Labs. Inside [JOB] serves as a mixed-reality introduction to Android XR interactions, and Owlchemy lists other compatible titles such as Vacation Simulator, Job Simulator, and Dimensional Doubleshift. Unity's Android XR support enabled rapid ports and saved development time.
