"Google has also released a new model called Gemini Omni that combines text prompts, images and videos you upload to generate video output. You can change video backgrounds with a text prompt and apply effects, as well as built-in templates, to the output. If you want to insert yourself in videos, it can create an avatar the looks and sounds like you. The new model will be available today for all Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers."
Google announced updates for the Gemini app, including a redesigned interface called “Neural Expressive” with new typography, more fluid animations, and haptic feedback. Gemini Live is integrated into the main Gemini experience, enabling easier switching between typing and spoken conversations. Regional dialects are added, and responses are designed with imagery, graphics, and narrated videos to reduce text-heavy outputs. The redesign is rolling out worldwide on Android and iOS. A new AI agent, Daily Brief, summarizes daily activity by gathering information from connected apps like Gmail and Calendar, prioritizing tasks based on goals and suggesting next steps. Gemini Omni generates video output from uploaded text prompts, images, and videos, including background changes, effects, templates, and avatar creation. Daily Brief and Gemini Omni roll out to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
