Exynos 2600 inside Galaxy S26 posts impressive Ray Tracing score
"Samsung's Exynos 2600 SoC, which will power (at least) the base model Galaxy S26 models (in some regions, it remains to be seen), boasts the best Ray Tracing in the game. The Exynos 2600's graphics processor, the Xclipse 960, posted a chart-topping 8,321 points in Basemark's In Vitro 1.0's Ray Tracing test, beating out the Adreno 840 inside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 by some 8%, and the Mali-G1-Ultra inside the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 by 17%."
"The Xclipse 960 uses AMD's latest RDNA 4 Ray Tracing technology, found in AMD's current-gen graphics cards. So if graphics are your focus, it seems the Exynos 2600 is more than up to the task. However, recent reports suggest that the Exynos trails the latest Snapdragon in single-core tests."
Exynos 2600 is positioned to power base Galaxy S26 models in some regions and emphasizes graphics capability. Its GPU, the Xclipse 960, scored 8,321 points in Basemark In Vitro 1.0 Ray Tracing test, outperforming the Adreno 840 in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 by about 8% and the Mali-G1-Ultra in the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 by about 17%. The Xclipse 960 implements AMD's RDNA 4 ray tracing technology used in current-generation AMD graphics cards. The SoC therefore offers leading mobile ray tracing performance, although CPU single-core results lag behind the latest Snapdragon.
