Android Quick Share is adding QR code-based file sharing to iOS devices. When an iPhone scans the QR code using the Camera app, the selected files are securely uploaded to the cloud and delivered through a private download link. Google states the transfer uses end-to-end encryption and the files remain available for download for up to 24 hours. The generated link cannot be shared with others. The rollout is expected to reach all users by the end of June, providing an alternative when Quick Share does not yet support AirDrop compatibility.
