"Amazon actually invested quite a bit in upgrading this new Ultra tier. It now comes with the option to watch 4K/UHD streams with optional Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The concurrent device limit has been raised to five devices, and the offline download capacity has been raised to 100 items."
"While it is still capped at 1080p streaming, it will now get optional Dolby Vision for some content. Not Dolby Atmos, though, that still requires the Ultra subscription. And, of course, you will continue to see ads. The download item limit has been doubled from 25 items to 50."
Amazon Prime Video has launched a new premium subscription tier called Prime Video Ultra, priced at $4.99 monthly, representing a price increase from the previous $2.99 tier. This Ultra tier provides 4K/UHD streaming with optional Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio, supports five concurrent devices, and allows 100 offline downloads. Simultaneously, Amazon upgraded the base Prime Video tier included with standard Amazon Prime ($14.99/month). The base tier now supports optional Dolby Vision for select content and increased offline download capacity from 25 to 50 items, though it remains capped at 1080p resolution and continues displaying advertisements. Dolby Atmos audio remains exclusive to the Ultra subscription tier.
