Vitor Belfort Crosses Paths with Shaq, Advises Jon Jones Not to Face Tom Aspinall
Briefly

Vitor Belfort, during a recent visit to UFC 314 in Miami, recounted his memorable encounter with basketball star Shaquille O'Neal, which dates back 29 years to his MMA debut in 1996. Belfort lauded the new generation of MMA fighters, particularly The Fighting Nerds, and expressed a desire to assist young talent as his own children grow older. On the topic of Jon Jones potentially facing Tom Aspinall, Belfort cautioned against the matchup, asserting that Jones has nothing left to prove and should aim to retire undefeated.
In this video I made with Shaquille, he remembered the day we met 29 years ago. It was at my debut at Super Brawl 2 in Hawaii in 1996.
I was very happy to see the new generation, especially The Fighting Nerds team, a new team that in less than three years in the UFC already has four ranked talents.
Jones doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. I would like to see him leaving the sport undefeated. Tom Aspinall is a risky fight for him.
