Usman Nurmagomedov defended his PFL lightweight title against Davis in the Road to Dubai main event, submitting Davis with a reverse arm-triangle in the third round. The undefeated Dagestani improved to 21-0 and recorded his second successful title defense with a near-flawless performance. Pre-fight footage captured a brief exchange during referee Kerry Hatley's instructions in which Nurmagomedov said, "I'm gonna finish him," and Hatley replied, "Yeah, good, make my job easy." Hatley also explained standing procedures if action stalled. The loss ended Davis's three-fight winning streak.
