UFC Vancouver: Manon Fiorot Focused on "Adjustment" with TriStar
"I didn't have much opposition for Paris, but to be honest, it was too close and too early after my defeat. I needed more time to refocus on me. It's really good for me to fight now."
"It was the first time I leave my home town to train outside."
"I made new skills and you'll see Saturday a new Manon with a new game plan, and new stuff."
"Little move on my skills, on my striking game and my wrestling game. If I had to say one word, just 'adjustment.'"
Manon Fiorot did not compete at UFC Paris because it was too soon after her May loss to Valentina Shevchenko. Fiorot needed extra time to refocus and chose to return for UFC Vancouver. She began training at Montreal's TriStar gym with coach Firas Zahabi, marking her first time leaving her hometown to train outside. Fiorot described skill work as adjustments rather than major changes, focusing on small moves in striking and wrestling and a new game plan. Fiorot will face Canada's Jasmine Jasudavicius and expressed a slight preference for Valentina in an upcoming title fight while remaining focused on her own comeback.
