Pavlovich entered at heavyweight #3 after competing for an interim title in 2023, while Teixeira debuted in the rankings at #15. Pavlovich hurt Teixeira immediately with a right hand, followed by additional right shots that wobbled him and sent him down. Left-hand follow-ups prompted the referee to stop the fight.
