Alberto Montes made a dominant UFC debut against TUF 29 champion Ricky Turcios at UFC 326. Turcios entered the fight seeking to improve his 2-3 promotional record, while Montes was making his first UFC appearance after earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in 2024. In Round 1, Montes displayed superior striking, landing clean combinations and body kicks that visibly hurt Turcios. Round 2 saw Turcios attempt a desperate takedown, which Montes capitalized on by securing his signature Anaconda choke. The submission was tight and effective, forcing the referee to stop the fight with Turcios rendered unconscious, giving Montes a spectacular debut victory.
