"Kline, 15 years younger than the veteran, went right after a takedown early in Saturday's fight. Hill, however would work her way out of a bad spot, reverse, and get off the fence. One takedown dealt with, but Kline was no slouch on the feet either, targeting the body with both punches and kicks. Hill, as is often the case, was active on the feet, but Kline's attacks seemed to have a little more on them."
"Hill found herself under fire to open round two, with Kline backing Hill up to the fence. A high kick by Kline was blocked. Kline would change levels for a takedown, only for Hill to retreat. Kline appeared to have the edge in speed, something of a shock against "Overkill" Hill. Hill would tag the body, and fired a low kick moments later. Kline came up short on a head kick, then tied things up, taking Hill to the fence again."
Angela Hill, a 40-year-old veteran and former Invicta champion with the most strawweight fights in UFC history, faced younger opponent Fatima Kline on the UFC 322 early prelims. Kline immediately pursued takedowns and mixed effective body punches and kicks while showing superior speed. Hill escaped an early takedown and remained active on the feet, but Kline converted a bodylock into a takedown late in the first and landed a big elbow before finishing in side control after a kimura attempt. Kline continued to pressure Hill through rounds two and three, landing clean shots, changing levels, and repeatedly forcing Hill to the fence.
