Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes will rematch next month in Dubai following a dramatic January 2025 fight. Hughes earned the rematch by scoring a 42-second knockout of Bruno Miranda since their first meeting. Hughes called the decision business and said he earned the opportunity, noting the rematch is what fans want. Nurmagomedov said he has corrected issues from the previous camp, secured higher-level training partners, and improved conditioning and preparation. Both fighters expect differences from their January bout and anticipate the rematch being among the year's best fights.
