"Sergio Pettis got the action going in a big way at the PFL Champions Series 3 card in Dubai on Friday. After a mixed bag of decisions on the early card that was snapped by an upset of heavyweight Slim Trabelsi by the little-known Pouya Rahmani, the first couple of main card bouts likewise went to the judges. Pettis, however, had no intention of following suit."

Magomedov flailed, falling backwards, and a single follow-up strike by Pettis, a former Bellator bantamweight champ and UFC contender, put him out cold."
Sergio Pettis rallied from a scorecard deficit to secure a come-from-behind knockout over Magomed Magomedov at PFL Champions Series 3 in Dubai. Pettis landed a spinning back elbow that connected flush with Magomedov's temple, causing the Russian to fall backward, and followed with a single strike that ended the fight at 4:31 of the second round. The victory gives Pettis a 25-7 record and his second win of 2025 under the Bellator banner. Pettis called for peace and unity and requested a fight with PFL World Tournament winner Lazaro Dayron. Magomedov falls to 21-5.
