PFL Adds Lightweight Title Eliminator to June 20 Card
Briefly

The Professional Fighters League has announced an exciting addition to its World Tournament 6 lineup: a critical lightweight matchup between Mansour Barnaoui and Archie Colgan. Scheduled for June 20 at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas, this fight will see the winner claiming the No. 1 contender spot for the PFL Lightweight Championship against Usman Nurmagomedov. Barnaoui arrives with an impressive submission streak, while Colgan remains undefeated. This announcement caught Paul Hughes off guard, who had anticipated a title rematch after his recent match against Nurmagomedov. Besides this title eliminator, the event will showcase semifinals across multiple weight divisions.
A native of Paris, Barnaoui is coming off back-to-back submission victories over Yusuke Yachi and Alfie Davis. The 32-year-old known as "Afro-Samurai" is a former Road FC title holder and has finished 21 of his 22 professional triumphs inside the distance.
Colgan, meanwhile, is undefeated in 11 professional outings. The 29-year-old Colorado native enjoyed a 2-0 campaign in 2024 in which he bested Manoel Sousa and Thibault Gouti under the Bellator banner.
The promotion announced on Monday that a lightweight clash between Mansour Barnaoui and Archie Colgan has been added to PFL World Tournament 6, which takes place at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita Kansas.
The announcement came as a surprise to lightweight contender Paul Hughes, who dropped a hard-fought majority decision to Nurmagomedov on Jan. 25. After scoring a 42-second stoppage of Bruno Miranda at PFL Europe 1, "Big News" expected to get a rematch with the Dagestani champion.
