Isaac Dulgarian Released by UFC, Promotion Issues First Statement
"I've got to be honest here. That was an F- performance. It was absolute trash."
"Like many professional sports organizations, UFC works with an independent betting integrity service to monitor wagering activity on our events. Our betting integrity partner, IC360, monitors wagering on every UFC event and is conducting a thorough review of the facts surrounding the Dulgarian vs. del Valle bout on Saturday, November 1. We take these allegations very seriously, and along with the health and safety of our fighters, nothing is more important than the integrity of our sport."
Isaac Dulgarian was released by the UFC after a poor showing at UFC Vegas 110 that exposed basic deficiencies in submission defense. Dulgarian lost to Yadier del Valle by rear-naked choke after visibly struggling to defend the hold and making what Michael Chiesa called "day one" mistakes. Chiesa described the performance as "an F- performance" and "absolute trash." Significant sportsbook line movement shifted toward del Valle in the hours before the bout, with heavy action on Dulgarian losing by first-round finish. The UFC said its betting integrity partner IC360 is conducting a thorough review and confirmed that officials had been informed of suspicious movement but allowed the fight to proceed.
