The rivalry between Pimblett and Topuria escalated after an incident in March 2022, and although Pimblett believes he could enter the title picture soon, Topuria suggests he needs one more victory first. Both fighters share a competitive history, with Topuria holding a strong UFC record, while Pimblett remains undefeated, recently defeating Michael Chandler.
Topuria says: "Hopefully Paddy is next. Hopefully, he gets one more fight, he wins that fight, of course. And finally, we can be in the same Octagon together."
Pimblett's rivalry with Topuria intensified after their run-in in March 2022, when he famously threw a bottle of hand sanitizer at the Georgian-Spaniard.
