Former Two-Weight Champ Larissa Pacheco Released by PFL
"Pacheco (23-5) won PFL Global seasons at both lightweight and featherweight, in the process becoming the only woman to defeat current UFC bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison. The Brazilian, who competed twice for the UFC prior to signing with the PFL, holds notable wins over ex-Invicta FC champ Sarah Kaufman, former Bellator champ Julia Budd, and current UFC contender Irene Aldana, among others."
"Despite that resume, and despite having Cris Cyborg under contract, the PFL did away with its featherweight division, instead focusing on flyweight and budding star Dakota Ditcheva. With women's lightweight long scrapped and Pacheco's last fight a loss to Cyborg, her days in the promotion were clearly numbered, and have now come to an end. PFL officials released a statement announcing Larissa Pacheco's release on Thursday."
The Professional Fighters League released Larissa Pacheco from her contract more than a year after her last fight. Pacheco compiled a 23-5 record and won PFL Global seasons at lightweight and featherweight, including an upset over Kayla Harrison in the 2022 lightweight final. The Brazilian previously fought twice in the UFC and holds wins over Sarah Kaufman, Julia Budd, and Irene Aldana. The PFL eliminated its featherweight division to focus on flyweight and Dakota Ditcheva, and women's lightweight had already been scrapped. Pacheco last lost a unanimous decision to Cris Cyborg in October 2024 and has been seen with Amanda Nunes.
