Fatima Kline believes finish in next fight gets her close to UFC title shot
Fatima Kline is scheduled to fight Amanda Ribas in a strawweight bout at UFC Oklahoma City on July 18 in Oklahoma City. Kline wants to stop Ribas inside the distance and believes a finish would place her close to the title picture. She plans to use a win to move toward the Top 5 rankings by taking out notable contenders and proving she belongs in the division. Kline is 9-1 overall, with her only professional loss coming in her UFC debut in 2024. Since then, she has won three straight fights, including two finishes. Ribas is 12-7 and has lost three straight, with her last two defeats ending by stoppage inside the distance.
"“I want to finish Amanda... Finishing Amanda puts me very close [to the title],” Kline told Home of Fight. “I know Tatiana [Suarez] just won her fight, I know Gillian Robertson just won her fight. This division is wide open for me to take it and run with it. And that's exactly what I plan on doing. I really want to get close to the Top 5, and I want to start taking out names and showing people that this is my division.”"
