"At the time, the victim, who had been in a relationship with Kenney, alleged that she had been subjected to a series of assaults over a 13-hour period. The victim, who we are not naming for privacy reasons, alleged being punched, slapped, bitten, and head-butted during the incident, but was able to send text messages to her mother asking for help."
Casey Kenney pleaded to an aggravated assault charge, a class six felony for domestic violence, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail beginning October 30. His jail term will include substance abuse and domestic violence offender treatment and will be followed by three years of probation. Kenney originally faced six charges including class 2 felony kidnapping, class 4 felony assault/strangulation, and disorderly conduct-fighting.
