Patchy Mix is no longer on the UFC roster and has signed to fight for RIZIN. RIZIN announced Mix will face Kyoma Akimoto at RIZIN 52 on March 6, 2026, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. Mix will compete at featherweight for his RIZIN debut. Akimoto is 6-1 in RIZIN with four straight wins. Dana White met Nobuyuki Sakakibara in 2024 before cross-promotion moves that saw Kai Asakura and Kyoji Horiguchi join the UFC.
