""I have been extended," White stated during Saturday's post-fight press conference. "Five years. Another five-year extension. Literally this year.""
""It's impossible for the sport not to get even bigger. It was 1200 or 1300 bucks a year to be a fan this year. It's going to be 120 dollars next year, something like that, for the entire year," stated White. "And we have huge fights coming up. The White House fight alone will be madness.""
"Historically, headliners of UFC PPV events have received "PPV points," essentially a bonus based on the number of sales the broadcast of the event does."
Dana White became UFC president after persuading Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta to purchase the promotion in 2001 and retained an ownership stake. The UFC sold to WME-IMG (Endeavour) in 2016 for just over $4 billion, with White cashing in yet remaining in leadership and later earning the CEO title as UFC and WWE were paired under TKO Group, a subsidiary of Endeavour. White signed a five-year contract extension in 2025 and will remain CEO. Reasons for staying include a planned White House event and the domestic shift from expensive PPV sales to streaming on Paramount+. Historically, PPV headliners earned bonus "PPV points" tied to sales.
