""F--k around and find out," Hooker told Combat TV. "You want to take it there? There's s--t you don't talk about. He tried to get a reaction, and he f---ing got one. You go low, I go lower... You want to say some horrible s-t like that, I'm going to think of the most horrible s-t I can possibly - I'm going to bring that s--t up, too. He genuinely pissed me off."
"He genuinely got under my skin. He got a reaction. He wanted to piss me off, he pissed me off. And I wanted to say something, so the feeling is mutual. I want to kick your head in the next time I see you. Now you want to kick my head in back. Now the feeling is mutual. I've got no intention of making up. There's no coming back from there."
Dan Hooker and Paddy Pimblett exchanged personal insults online that Hooker says destroyed their relationship. Pimblett initiated the spat by saying Hooker couldn't "grapple a rapist off his mom." Hooker retaliated by bringing up Pimblett's late friend Ricky, who died by suicide, and admitted that a comment about his mother provoked him. Hooker said he deliberately went lower after Pimblett crossed a line, vowed to continue the feud, and declared "there's no coming back." Pimblett will face Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight at UFC 324 on Jan. 24; Hooker fights Benoit St. Denis at UFC 325 a week later.
