Bruno Silva, ranked #14, faced Hyun Sung Park in the lone men's flyweight bout at UFC Vancouver. Park entered having been unbeaten as a pro before losing to Tatsuro Taira and sought a bounce-back. Silva pressed forward early, defended takedowns, landed a big rushing uppercut, and controlled portions against the cage. Park fought back in Round 2, briefly dropping to Silva and then pressing forward before Silva secured takedowns and ended the round in half guard. In Round 3 Silva turned a caught kick into a takedown, took the back, and forced a rear-naked choke at 2:15, earning the submission victory.
