Sean Strickland has previously made Islamophobic comments and also targeted Khamzat Chimaev’s religion before their UFC 328 fight. After defeating Chimaev by split decision, Strickland apologized to Chimaev and also apologized to fans across multiple religions. Belal Muhammad, a devout Muslim, does not accept the apology. Muhammad claims Strickland is trying to justify past comments by making peace after the fight. Muhammad says that discussing religion is different from promoting a bout and expresses a desire to eventually fight Strickland and make him bleed in the cage.
