Arman Tsarukyan Escorted Out of Rousey vs. Carano Event
Arman Tsarukyan attended the Rousey vs. Carano event at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The UFC lightweight, recently removed from a plane and scheduled as backup for Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje, was seen attempting to hop a security barrier after speaking briefly with preliminary card winner Namo Fazil. When the barrier attempt failed, he was seen backstage trying to confront Fazil, with MVP MMA co-founder Nakisa Bidarian present. Tsarukyan appeared to be escorted away after the confrontation. The incident followed a pattern of past controversies, including an off-stage tackle of Urijah Faber and a head-butt of Dan Hooker. Fazil had previously called out Tsarukyan and later did so again in the cage, though a fight was unlikely because Fazil does not compete for the UFC.
"Of course, the fight isn't likely to happen, given Fazil doesn't compete for the UFC, where Tsarukyan is a contender and title fight back-up. However, he chose to call out the Armenian again in the cage at the Intuit Dome. Saturday's Rousey vs. Carano card was the first-ever MMA event on Netflix, though Namo Fazil's fight actually closed out the Youtube portion of the event."
