Lookboonmee started with Muay Thai body kicks and pressed the striking range. Thainara responded with clinch attempts, trips and takedowns that shifted the fight to grappling. Thainara landed heavy elbows from top position to close the first round and repeatedly returned the fight to the mat early in round two. Lookboonmee managed occasional escapes and returned to her feet, but Thainara consistently found control against the fence and from the back. In the third round Thainara continued to produce the bigger moments while Lookboonmee struggled to find rhythm as time ran down.
