Alexander Romanov remains calm and intensely focused as he approaches the PFL World Tournament final, determined to win the title. His semifinal against Valentin Moldavsky ended in a No Contest after a low blow left him unable to continue, yet PFL rules and the judges advanced him. Romanov believes he controlled and won the fight, stating he is superior standing and on the ground. He recovered quickly and resumed normal training after about ten days. Romanov is prepared to face names like Corey Anderson or Vadim Nemkov but is concentrating fully on the upcoming fight and will accept any opponent.
I'm pretty calm. I'm here to win this title,
I push myself hard every day, and now I can't give this possibility to my emotion, to make some bad moments. I'm super controlled and ready to go.
Sometimes during the fight it can happen, the moment that you cannot control. I feel that I did win that fight, I controlled the fight and I feel that I'm much better than him on the feet, on the ground, everywhere,
By somebody else's mistake, you can be injured and you cannot continue the fight. That was not my fault, but thank God I recovered very fast, and I was [able to] come back after a week and a half in normal training sessions.
