Mission Local a finalist for 10 California Journalism Awards

Mission Local has secured finalist positions in ten categories for the California Journalism Awards, recognizing its exceptional contributions in reporting including community issues, homelessness, and local elections. The California News Publishers Association commended the finalists for their top-tier journalism. Last year, Mission Local was awarded 'general excellence' in its size category, highlighting its outstanding election coverage. The winners will be celebrated at a ceremony on May 17 in Los Angeles, following a successful year for the organization under managing editor Joe Eskenazi.
