A 16-story Marriott hotel is under construction in San Diego's Mission Valley district near Interstates 8 and 805. The $45-million project will contain 350 rooms and is part of the larger Rio Vista mixed-use complex spanning 140 acres. CalMat Properties and Interstate Hotels Corp. are jointly developing the property. BSHA designed the hotel, while McDevitt & Street Co. is handling construction. The project is targeted for completion in December.
