Meath pleaded guilty before his trial to 12 counts of sexual assault and indecent assault against three female victims on dates between 1982 and 2002."

Declan Daly, 54, of Cassidy Apartments, Kells, Co. Meath received a 20-year prison sentence for sexual offences spanning roughly three decades. He pleaded guilty before trial to 12 counts of sexual assault and indecent assault against three female victims for incidents dated between 1982 and 2002. He was convicted at trial of three counts of raping a further victim in 2022. Four victims in total were affected by the abuse. One victim publicly called him a coward, abuser and rapist following the verdict and sentencing.
