Stephen Ring's body was discovered in Carrigfoyle Quarry nearly two weeks after he disappeared. Jane Corcoran, aged 34, assisted in dumping the body and later posted on social media expressing concern for his wellbeing. Corcoran described the disposal as treating the body “like a piece of rubbish.” She provided false statements to gardai about the circumstances of Ring's death and disappearance. Mr Justice Kerida Naidoo at the Central Criminal Court found Corcoran had lied and sentenced her to six years' imprisonment for her role in events surrounding the 2024 death and disappearance of Stephen Ring.
