But, with the exception of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair no other names have yet been announced as members of the socalled Board of Peace that will be led by Trump."
"President of the European Council Antonio Costa represented the bloc in Egypt. He took the opportunity to outline its willingness to move beyond aid, saying the EU stands "ready to contribute" to the next steps in Trump's plan for a temporary transitional governance by a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee. Europe is already the biggest donor to the Palestinian Authority (PA) which governs the West Bank, As well as assisting the reconstruction of Gaza, Costa also said that the EU would contribute to the security."
As the Israel–Gaza ceasefire took effect and US President Donald Trump declared peace, key European leaders attended the Sharm el-Sheikh summit but played a minimal role in negotiations. Trump's 20-point peace plan was signed by mostly Arab and Muslim countries, and the socalled Board of Peace named only former British prime minister Tony Blair so far. The EU is the largest donor to the Palestinian Authority and has pledged funding for Gaza reconstruction, with initial costs estimated over $50 billion. EU leaders signalled willingness to move beyond aid, offering contributions to transitional governance arrangements and security, including possible participation in an International Stabilization Force.
