Volodymyr Zelensky urged Poland to shoot down any aerial objects heading toward Ukraine and Poland to prevent damage to civilians and critical infrastructure as winter approaches. He called for joint coordination so drones do not fall on Ukrainians or cross into Polish territory. Zelensky noted that Ukraine has air defence systems and suggested Poland or Romania could help protect western Ukrainian regions. A former RAF commander urged NATO to define a red line and use lethal force against Russian aircraft violating airspace. Recent incidents included MiG-31 flights into Estonian airspace and dozens of Russian drones entering Poland.
