Vogue Williams announced as Dublin St Patrick's Parade Grand Marshal

"Pageant makers Lumen Street Theatre and Show CoMotion, a new Dublin-based parade company, will this year join a host of regular contributors, including Galway theatre company Macnas, Wexford prop-making company Bui Bolg, Donegal-based Inishowen Carnival Group, which creates sculptural installations and performances and Wicklow prop company ArtFX. Numerous international marching bands are also set to travel from Scotland and the United States, including eight American bands from Ohio, Arizona, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Mississippi, Indiana and Texas for the parade."

It is one of the country's most popular podcasts and has led to sold-out tours of live shows across the country. Vogue is married to Spencer Matthews, a former star of the reality show Made In Chelsea."

"This year's parade begins at 12pm on March 17 in Dublin City Centre, running from Granby Row in the north of the city, down O'Connell Street, over O'Connell Bridge and through the south side of the city, ending at the Cuffe Street- Kevin Street junction. The parade will feature 12 large-scale floats from independent parade companies, with over 3,000 participants involved."

An announcement at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin confirmed the lineup for the National St Patrick's Day festival running from Saturday 14 March to Tuesday 17 March, with the parade on 17 March starting at 12pm. The parade route runs from Granby Row, down O'Connell Street, over O'Connell Bridge and ends at the Cuffe Street- Kevin Street junction. The parade will include 12 large-scale floats and over 3,000 participants. Contributors include Lumen Street Theatre, Show CoMotion, Galway's Macnas, Bui Bolg, Inishowen Carnival Group and ArtFX. Numerous international marching bands will travel from Scotland and eight US states. Williams from Howth and other celebrity figures are involved. Tickets are not required.
