Victoria Mboko defeated 14th seed Clara Tauson 7-6 (5), 5-7, 6-3 to reach her first Grand Slam fourth round. Mboko, the 19-year-old seeded 17th, served for the match at 7-6 (5), 5-3 before losing her service game to love. She generated three match points at 5-4 but Tauson recovered to break back. Mboko then produced an authoritative final set to close out the victory. Her previous best major result was the third round at the French Open from qualifying.
