Each of these three elements are represented across a diverse Home of Halloween programme of events running from October 17 to November 9. This magical festival is coordinated by Kilkenny County Council, in partnership with local artists, businesses and community groups, all supported by Fáilte Ireland's Home of Halloween pilot scheme."

Westport's Westival runs October 22–27 marking its fiftieth edition. Longford's Dead of Night Festival runs October 25–31 with over 30 events featuring light, shadow and community performances across the county.
