Ukraine Slams Massive Russian Air Attack On Kyiv And Kharkiv Amid Peace Talks In UAE
"Cynically, Putin ordered a brutal, massive missile strike against Ukraine right while delegations are meeting in Abu Dhabi to advance the America-led peace process,"
"His missiles hit not only our people, but also the negotiation table,"
""constructive,""
Ukraine condemned a massive overnight Russian missile and drone attack as an attempt to upend peace negotiations in Abu Dhabi. Negotiators from the United States, Russia, and Ukraine concluded a second day of talks on January 24, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the negotiations as "constructive," adding that further meetings could take place next week. At least one person was killed and scores were injured in Kyiv and Kharkiv after missile and drone barrages. Ukrainian authorities reported more than 370 attack drones and 21 missiles fired. The strikes left over 6,000 apartment buildings in Kyiv without heating, damaged hospitals and a maternity hospital in Kharkiv, injured dozens, and affected more than 1.2 million properties.
