"Both of the arrested men have since been charged, and will appear before a special sitting of Cork District Court on Friday morning, at approximately 10.30am. This seizure comes as part as Operation Tara, a national anti-drugs strategy aiming to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks at all levels."

Follow-up searches by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau in Dublin 14 on New Year's Eve recovered cannabis worth €9,000 and €4,000 in cash. The seized drugs are being analysed by Forensic Science Ireland. Both men have been charged and will appear at a special sitting of Cork District Court. The operation formed part of Operation Tara.
