Tracy Brabin has launched a five-day trade mission to Switzerland and Germany with a 12-strong business delegation visiting Zurich, Karlsruhe, Heilbronn and Stuttgart. The mission, organised by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and supported by KPMG, targets financial and digital services, health technology and advanced manufacturing to deepen economic ties, attract inward investment and open export opportunities for West Yorkshire firms. The trip, backed by the UK government, aims to protect and create thousands of jobs across Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield. The visit promotes a £160m Healthtech Investment Zone and highlights Leeds’s role as a major financial hub.
