"Time Out Travel Editor Grace Beard got a sneak peek at the experience and remarked that you get extraordinary views of 'architectural beacons like St Paul's Cathedral, the Shard and Canary Wharf', as well as nearby landmarks like a church spire in Muswell Hill."
"Intriguingly, apparently you'll be able to book your climb during the venue's legendary fireworks displays. You can read more about what to expect from the experience here. The experience was announced in December but it will officially launch this month. Summit Ally Pally will open on February 14 (Valentine's for thrill-seeking lovebirds, perhaps?) and it'll cost from £28 (plus £2.75 booking fee)."
Summit Ally Pally is a guided rooftop-walking experience at Alexandra Palace that leads climbers to the Angel of Plenty statue. The route reaches 130 metres above sea level, making it the highest rooftop walk in the UK. The climb offers expansive views including St Paul's Cathedral, the Shard, Canary Wharf and a Muswell Hill church spire. Observers can see 28 of London's 32 boroughs from the summit. Special climbs are bookable at sunset, at night and during the venue's fireworks displays. The attraction opens on February 14 with tickets from £28 plus a £2.75 booking fee, available on the official website.
