"Met Éireann have issued weather warnings for six counties, saying bands of rain with Storm Chandra will be "heavy and persistent". Status Yellow rain warnings for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford will come into effect at midnight tonight and remain in place for almost 24 hours, ending at 11pm, Tuesday. Forecasters have also issued Status Yellow wind warnings for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Carlow, Meath, Kildare, Monaghan and Cavan."
"Forecasters have warned of localised flooding, especially where the ground is already saturated from recent rainfall, river flooding and difficult travel conditions. Forecasters have also issued Status Yellow wind warnings for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow. The warnings will be in effect from 5am on Tuesday, until 11pm on Tuesday. Met Éireann have forecast winds to be "very strong and gusty" particularly at coasts and exposed areas."
Storm Chandra will affect Ireland with bands of heavy, persistent rain and very strong, gusty winds. Status Yellow rain warnings are in effect for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford from midnight until 11pm Tuesday. Status Yellow wind warnings cover thirteen counties from 5am until 11pm Tuesday, and marine small-craft warnings apply to all coasts. Hazardous travel is expected with fallen trees, loose debris, wave overtopping and difficult driving conditions. Localised and river flooding is possible where ground is saturated. Showers will clear in the west and southwest Monday afternoon, while patchy rain, fog and mist persist elsewhere with lows of 0–5°C.
