Ryanair focuses on touristy Spain with nine new Malaga routes

Ryanair will operate 83 routes from Malaga this winter, nine of which are new, increasing capacity at the airport by 7 percent. New destinations include Pardubice, Bratislava, Brno, Ostrava, Lubeck, Munster, Stockholm Vasteras, Teesside and Warsaw. Most new routes will run twice weekly, with Warsaw at six weekly flights and Bratislava at four. Additional frequencies are being added on routes to Copenhagen, Dublin, Fez and Milan. Ryanair previously cut 800,000 summer seats to Spain and plans a further one million winter seat reductions elsewhere. Ryanair maintains 15 aircraft based at Malaga supporting over 6,800 local jobs and cites excessive Aena fees.
